Fly Friendly Best Practices

Please be mindful of both safety and noise when entering and departing from KGAI. Follow all best practices to reduce noise. Runway 14 is preferred. If practical, and within manufacturer’s guidelines, reduce RPM after lift off. Avoid intersection take offs. Climb at best rate, not best angle. Aeronautical Information Manual minimum suggested cross wind turn at 700 feet above ground level or 1,239 feet at KGAI. The Airpark voluntarily requests no pattern work between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m. To limit pattern congestion we ask that no more than three aircraft conduct touch and go operations at one time.

Noise Abatement Procedures

When departing runway 32, turn to a heading of 340 degrees as soon as practical and climb best rate. When departing runway 14, turn to a heading of 050 degrees as soon as practical and climb best rate. This is to keep traffic East of Snouffer School Road and over the public training facility.
